Anna contacted us by text message 30 minutes before her first day with our daughter to say she was not coming and was no longer interested in helping us. She stated her reason as being because our 2 older children would be home also. We were very clear with her during our initial meeting that our 15 and 11 year old get off the bus and would be home for the last half hour of care. She had no issues with that at the time and had ample time to tell us she was not interested in the position. Unfortunately, just 30 minutes prior to caring for our daughter she was a no show. Luckily my husband was able to make it work with his job that day but it left us without care moving forward. We had other applicants we did not contact during the process so it was extremely frustrating when we had to start at square one.
