When I was 12 years old, my dad always went to sing at The Heritage Place in Kalispell, we spent an hour and a half singing to the old folks. My dad brought his guitar, or I played piano as we sang and sang and sang. There were some who couldn't turn pages, so I sat right next to many and turned their pages for them. Some who could barely even nod their head. But the one thing I mostly enjoyed was helping them at such a young age. To this day I still fully love seeing the older folks and putting a smile on their faces. 22 years later and I never knew I would be someday helping with seniors. But that is what has shaped my view on the elderly in such a beautiful way.
