I'm a graduate student in Speech-language Pathology, interested in working with individuals on the autism spectrum. I volunteered with children ages 5-19 with autism for 1. 5 years and have been working at a respite camp for children ages 3-8 with autism and other developmental disabilities for the past year. I enjoy working with the population because I want to give them the opportunity to participate in life as much as anyone else - to be able to take care of themselves, to have jobs and to form meaningful relationships with others. I have had coursework in Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Speech-Language Pathology program and have completed an outside course of Applied Behavior Analysis coursework.
