I just received a degree in special education from the University of Dayton. I have spent each semester during college observing, assisting, and student teaching in school settings containing students with mild to moderate disabilities. I am passionate about what I do because I find it fun and rewarding. Additionally, it has been a continual learning experience for me, and working with this population of individuals definitely allows me to use my strengths of being patient, flexible, hard-working, and consistent.

We had a nanny for almost five years, so I have not been in the habit of needing a babysitter. When our nanny moved at the beginning of this summer, I knew it would be heard to replace her... I was not prepared for just how hard! After one incredibly bad experience, and some mediocre ones, Anna was a breath of fresh air. She showed up energetic, and willing to spend a long 10-12 hour day with my three kids under the age of five! I asked her to keep them busy, and to not let them watch shows throughout the day, which she happily obliged. She was incredibly hands on, very patient, and meticulous about their care. I did not worry at all when they were in her care that they would be ignored or in danger. She mostly kept the girls at home while I was working, but on a few occasions, after our new Au pair began work, Anna picked up one of my daughters and took her to various physical therapies. She is a gem, and we were so thankful to have found her!
