Hello! I graduated from college in 2019 with a degree in Special Education and a minor in Psychology. I have spent the last 5 years working as a special education teacher in Colorado. I am newly married and my husband and I just recently moved to Knoxville. I absolutely love spending time with kids, and I am looking to continue serving children and their families within our new community! I come with many years of experience working as a babysitter, nanny, and day camp counselor, prior to my teaching career. I have also held tutoring positions for students with special needs for the past 4 years. In my free time, I love to watch football (Go Vols!), spend time outside, and hang out with friends and family. I would say my strengths when it comes to working with kids are: being calm, patient, and having a good sense of humor. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family!!

We had a nanny for almost five years, so I have not been in the habit of needing a babysitter. When our nanny moved at the beginning of this summer, I knew it would be heard to replace her... I was not prepared for just how hard! After one incredibly bad experience, and some mediocre ones, Anna was a breath of fresh air. She showed up energetic, and willing to spend a long 10-12 hour day with my three kids under the age of five! I asked her to keep them busy, and to not let them watch shows throughout the day, which she happily obliged. She was incredibly hands on, very patient, and meticulous about their care. I did not worry at all when they were in her care that they would be ignored or in danger. She mostly kept the girls at home while I was working, but on a few occasions, after our new Au pair began work, Anna picked up one of my daughters and took her to various physical therapies. She is a gem, and we were so thankful to have found her!
