I have 6+ years of elderly care giving experience. I cared for a 97 1/2-year-old woman for 5 years as well as my grandfather who was paraplegic. I believe by setting a strong routine for an elderly persons day to day life, it helps them maintain stability and gives them comfort in knowing what their day looks like. It also gives us a chance to connect on a deeper level. In return not only the client but also their family would feel at ease knowing they are in caring hands. One thing you should know about me is I think of this as far more than just a job. Elderly people are in my opinion the most valuable people to society. We have so much to learn from them, and they deserve deep consideration, kindness, and respect. My skills include bed baths, transferring, transportation, meal prep and feeding, administering medication, physical therapy exercises, providing mentally astimulating activities, dementia care and safety, following HIPPA protocol, and end of life care.
