I'm adopted and most of my siblings are as well. Most of them have special needs/disabilities that need constant attention. One of my sisters has cerebral palsy so she cannot walk and is assisted in eating, bathing, and using the bathroom. She cannot talk well but since I've been around her my whole life I understand most of what she says to me. I also have multiple siblings who have a seizure disorder that must be given medication on a daily basis. I believe that because I grew up in this kind of household I'm a better fit for a job with special needs children because I understand the difficulties of it.
