Angela blessed us with her many gifts and single-handedly improved the quality of our lives from the moment she arrived! She came on as a caregiver for my 93 year old mother and housekeeper but she brought so much more with her. She has been a caring, loving, thoughtful, engaging, creative and devoted caregiver to my mother and housekeeper and she brings those qualities to everything she does. I came to live with my elderly mother at the beginning of the pandemic and because of it, I had been caring for all her needs and the needs of a house that had been in some pretty significant disarray, on my own for 3 years! When I finally was able to bring someone else into the house, I thanked our lucky stars to have found Angela! She was attentive, open, reliable, communicative and extremely effective at meeting the needs at hand, whatever they were! With my mother, she was genuinely interested in in engaging her in conversation while accommodating her deafness and her different way of thinking at her age. She was gentle and hands-on with her, waking her, bathing her, serving her meals, taking her for walks, sitting with her and overall, letting her know that she was interesting and important to her. With me she was always dependable and open to honest communication around our scheduling and procedural details of the house maintenance. Speaking of this, I don’t know if i can possibly convey how significant her contribution was to our home. I can definitely say that our house has never been cleaner. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t address. She cleaned every inch of our home from ceiling to floor, inside and out and she did it with enthusiasm, skill, thoughtfulness and care. She is creative, proactive and nonjudgmental about any task and I trusted the choices she made, especially since she always asked if she had any questions or concerns about what she was tasked with. Angela, oiled and refurbished all the wood in our house, pulled up old carpets, washed our walls, doors and windows, cleaned our kitchen and bathrooms each day from top to bottom, appliances, laundry, lawn care. She helped me go through dozens of boxes and stored items of my mother’s with vision and organization. She went to our town spring to gather the special drinking water I like to have in the house, she shopped for household items, she brought us flowers and apples from her garden, she made us laugh. She fed and cared for our two cats and appreciated them and they felt that. Angela is highly intelligent and interested in the deeper things in life. I will be forever grateful for her generous presence in our lives during this very delicate time and feel my mother and I have also found a trusted friend. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone needing someone capable, reliable, honest, thoughtful, strong, interested, proactive and engaged!
