About Angela

Currently I have two permanent jobs: I'm visiting with a beautiful 96-year-old woman who lives in a skilled nursing facility. I'm with her 3 days per week for two hours at a time. I would like to work more hours. She does have dementia but we have deep connection and interesting conversations. I lead her in exercises (and sometimes she leads me). We play tick tax toe, do puzzles and memory games and patty-cake. Now that the weather is getting nicer we can get outside to enjoy the sun and wind and nature. Friendship and love came so quickly with her. The sweet woman I cared for before her passed away. She had Parkinson's and lived in her own space in her family's home. We cooked together and did errands and she loved when we could go to church together. She actually used to be nun! I would do projects and cleaning around the house when she was resting. I am still very close to her family and have the occasional opportunity to do special projects at their home.
