About Andrew

Hi! My name is Scott . I have over 9 years working with children and youth in various fields. Currently, I am a 5th Grade Reading and English teacher at a local Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools elementary school. I have taught Grades 2 and 5-8, and have worked with all grades and ages in various roles. In addition to teaching, I have experience in various childcare centers, summer camps, tutoring/mentor agencies, nonprofit organizations, private schools, and personal care/babysitting. I have my Master of Art's degree in teaching with a concentration in Elementary Education. My Bachelor's degree is in Educational Studies with a focus on Learning & Development. I am a licensed teacher and am certified in phonics and foundational reading, elementary and middle grades reading and mathematics, digital learning, CPR and First Aid, and school-aged care.
