About Andrea

Hello! My name is Andrea and I am brand new to the East Coast! I grew up in Southern California My childcare experience started at age 16 when I got my first job as a nanny for an infant and a 3-year-old and then worked for two more families in college. I got my Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology which lead me to pursue work in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis where I learned how to work with children/people with diverse behavior and communication challenges. I conducted daily individualized therapy sessions, gaining skills and passion for helping children and families. For the last two years, I have worked as a paraeducator at an alternative school for students with intense behavioral and safety needs along with respite care for families with children who have special needs. I will be starting a teaching assistant position with the Charleston County School District in January and would love to spend my spare time serving my new community and making new connections.
