Experience: 14 yrs
I have worked as a childcare provider and skills trainer for over 14 years. I currently work as a graphic designer and am looking for opportunities to work with kids again. I am comfortable with large groups of kids and can build relationships with children very quickly. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women's Studies and worked in both community-based and inpatient youth mental health for 14 years. I babysat through care. com from 2010 to 2016. I mostly have weekend availability but can also work evenings after 3:30 p.m. I am an illustrator and crafter and have a lot of experience planning creative activities for kids. Television wasn't usually an option for entertaining children where I have worked, so I have a long list of active and mellow activities to fall back on. I take a yes and approach to play because an engaged kid is a happy kid and more responsive to adult redirection if needed. I was trained annually for 14 years in adult and child CPR/First Aid.

Andrea was amazing with our toddler! She's so kind and gentle and attentive, she helped her with her separation anxiety, read books with her, played, and overall was a great sitter. Would definitely hire again and recommend.
