About Andrea

Hey there! I'm Andrea, an energetic, playful, creative as heck, respectful and nurturing childcare provider. I have experience with all ages and kids with development disabilities. Most recently, I spent 2 years as a full time nanny and house manager for a family in my hometown of Seattle where I worked with their kiddo from ages 4-6, navigating virtual preschool (everyone's favorite!), playing with legos, going on nature walks, baking, and crafts galore. In my undergrad, I studied psychology and theatre. Most of my upper level classes were in child development and I continue my learning today of best practices and the workings of a child's mind. I borrow methods from the Montessori technique and gentle parenting. To me, this is all about physical and emotional regulation, spending time outside, exploration without heavy intervention (of course always with supervision), and guiding children through all of their emotions.
