About Andrea

I like tutoring because educating students in an environment where they are most comfortable allows me to be a more creative educator. Tutoring provides kids with the individual support they need to learn and helps them connect what they're learning to their daily life. I started tutoring when I was a student at Oakland University in 2017, tutoring math to the on campus students. In 2020, I began working with elementary and middle school students at a tutoring center in Bloomfield Hills. Now I work independently as an in home tutor. In my spare time, I like to crochet all different kinds of toys and sell them at art markets in the summer! One thing you should know about me is that I love creating new games and worksheets to connect to what my students are currently learning in school. My skills include working with grade levels K-12 on all subject matters (predominantly math as that's my degree), content creation, and implementation of project based learning with my students.
