I'm the mom that piles three or four other boys in the car and head to the beach, Great Adventure or a basketball game. I enjoy being on the court playing with the kids, running through the park or even just sitting on the floor watching the latest Batman movie. Some of the things I get the kids involved with is pizza making and homemade brownie volcanoes. Obviously, I have no problem with interactive fun times, but I also know the importance of reading a good book. I am the oldest grandchild of 18 and I've been babysitting all ages for over 30 years. I prefer to live out. In addition to child care, I have many years of elder care also. I have a great deal of patience and love to listen to the stories that come with caring for the elderly. I have a delicate touch which goes a long way with fragile bones and sensitive skin. I know that caring for the elderly comes with an ability to repeat things because of their diminished hearing. I also know how to patiently listen to the same memories shared over and over again. I can assist with bathroom needs, personal hygiene and the much needed overnight care that allows the rest of the family to get the rest they need. I can provide references for child care, elder care, house sitting, pet sitting, housekeeping and personal shopping.
