My name is Ana. I have 25 years' of experience in child care (including twins) from the ages of infant to 10 years. I am a very responsible person, and I enjoy being creative and outgoing with the children I take care of. My hobbies are reading, walking, playing and enjoying a good time with my friends. I work closely with parents in order to have a close and positive two-way communication to achieve the best results with children's learning progress. I also love encouraging my children to read. I take them to the park routinely, and if the parents want I can also teach them to speak Spanish. Their nutrition is important to me so I prepare healthy foods and snacks. I am flexible with my work schedule, but I require a 40 hour minimum. I have excellent letters of recommendation from my previous jobs upon request. The reason for leaving my present job is because the children I care for reached school age and my service are no longer needed.

For almost seven years she has been: Reliable, caring, flexible, attentive, generous, warm, kind, energetic, playful, supportive and a truly good hearted member of our family home. I hired her almost 7 years ago when my son was just three months old and I was still in the throws of maternity leave and anxieties about how I could possibly leave my newborn with anybody else and drive away to work. I knew that I wanted somebody who was experienced, and who had raised their own children and once I spoke to her previous employer, I knew that I had found the right person. Since then, she has provided consistent and loving care and supervision for my son (now in 1st grade) and his younger sister who turns three next year. While I know that it is time for our daughter to move on to daycare, I am heartbroken that we will no longer have her loving presence in our home most day of the week. She’s the best. Some ways she has shown up for us: • She is the most consistently punctual person I’ve ever met. • She is reliable and regularly flexes her schedule to help provide additional coverage as work tied us up, or unanticipated things came up • She follows a set schedule/routine to the letter anzd will pivot or adjust when you ask her to. Our youngest is almost three and still takes a two hour nap daily, thanks in great deal to the habits and routine consistently kept up during the week. • My daughter ADORES her and rejoices every time she arrives at our home. My son still delights whenever he gets to see her before or after school. • At our request, she spoke mainly Spanish to the children and both kids have picked up a great deal of Spanish. The 6 year old is now in a Spanish immersion program and the 2 year old is pretty fluent • She is very active and would regularly take the children on stroller walks to get fresh air and once they were old enough to enjoy the local park, they would visit once or twice a day to enjoy the playground. • She is community oriented. A formed friendships with other nannies and moms who regularly went to the park with their children. Our children benefited from having friendships and social connections with other children their ages. They had a built-in play date system, including celebrating, birthdays, and special occasions during the week at the park. • She is organized and helps us stay on top of diapers, supplies for the kids, groceries or snacks that are about to run out etc. • She keeps the nursery and playroom very tidy and cleans up throughout the day as they go from activity to activity • She helps us with the kids laundry, and always kept baby bottles, and later the baby chair and dishes washed and ready for next use • She kept them moving and getting regular exercise, played games with them, help them make friends, read books, did puzzles and engaged them in imaginative play. I could go on and on about the many ways that A cares for not just the kids but offers support to help keep our household running more smoothly. Perhaps the best evidence of our children being well taken care of is what happens when we are not around. My neighbors would regularly report back about how caring, sweet and attentive A is with our daughter and before that our son. Parents would come up to us at the park on weekends or at the mall play structure etc. when they recognized our kids to be a weekday playmate to their child. And time and time again people would gush about how “wonderful A is with the baby”. Unsolicited reports about loving care and attentive supervision were a regular occurrence. She is also conscientious about health and was extremely protective of both her health and our children’s during the pandemic. With more than two years of working from home, I cannot even imagine what we would’ve done without A. I will eternally be grateful for the solid foundation of trusted care and love that she provided our children. She has been a blessing for our family. I truly hope that she finds a fantastic family that will treat her well and value her and will have an equally well matched experience.
