About Ana

I have a deep desire to help people in need, people whose lives have been turned upside down by a disease, or relative disease conflict. My job to me is so much deeper than just helping, it is about caring and doing the right thing, which makes all the difference. I was a certified nursing assistant and worked in a long term care facility for a year before I started nursing school. In this facility I learned that I cannot change what happens in a person's life, but I can make a difference in his or her despair. You get a tremendous amount of responsibility and when you see your patients improve, you know it is because of what you did. Now I am a senior nursing student in East Tennessee State University. There, I spend the majority of my third year taking care of older adults. I also been taking care of my grandmother who is 82 for more than 5 years. I assist her with her daily activities such as bathing and dressing. Support her while walking or doing motion exercises.
