I am a graduate student at the University of North Texas studying clinical mental health counseling with special needs experience. I have been working as a Registered Behavioral Technician for the past two years. I have experience with children who have been diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, and ADHD. Additionally, I have experience with children who are primarily non-verbal. I know who to use AAC devices, and PEC binders/cards. I am familiar with bathroom procedures, picky eating, applied behavior analysis, seizure protocol, food allergies, G-tubes (water, not food), and strong behaviors. I love working with children who have special needs. Due to graduate school, I am going to have to quit my registered behavioral jobs as it does not align with my internship scheduling. I am looking to fulfill my passion to work with special needs individuals on the weekends, and give you the space to do what you need to do to have some self-care.
