About Sydney

Hi guys! My name is Sydney and I was a counselor at a summer camp for 8 weeks. I lived with girls, ages 6-8, full-time. The kids needed constant help doing their chores, getting ready for the day, and even dealing with homesickness. I worked as a horseback riding instructor, as well as, the canoeing instructor while I was there. I am lifeguard and CPR certified. I've owned 2 horses and 2 dogs so animals are no problem for me. I love finding new ways to keep children engaged in what they're doing, because during my time as a counselor I learned how important it is for kids to have fun with whatever they're doing! It was a big step to not return to camp this summer as a counselor, but I still want to continue to work with kids because I think they're pretty wonderful! Being around them reminds me of simpler times and I could listen to them talk all day!!! Overall just super excited and happy to meet new families!!
