In the summer of 2013 my mother, who was 68 at the time, became extremely ill out of nowhere. She wound up in the ICU, was put on a respirator, and was given a very small chance of surviving. She was in a coma for three months and against all odds awoke from her coma in the fall of 2013. Little did anyone know her real battles were just beginning. She needed to be weaned off of her respirator, would need subacute care, wound care, and eventually physical therapy. I gave up my teaching job to help my father care for my mother. I loved so much to care for her and would love the chance to do the same for you or your loved one.
