About Amy

I'm an education consultant who offers homeschool curriculum support and tutoring services at my learning space in St. Pete to most ages and grades. I'm a Florida certified teacher with more than 20 years of experience working in the fields of early childhood and education. I'd describe my personality as kind, inclusive, and supportive. I like tutoring because I love helping unlock hard things for kids. I love showing them other ways to see concepts. I started tutoring when I opened Education UpsideDown, nearly five years ago. In my spare time, I'm usually doing my other job Parent Coaching, hanging out with my "baby" before he goes to college, or reading on the beach. One thing you should know about me is I love to support kids unique interests by bringing those things into their lessons. If they love LEGO, I'll think of ways to link that interest to the subject we're working on. My skills include patience, seeing strengths, and individualizing.
