About Amy

I'd describe my personality as reliable, kind and considerate. I am a retired teacher from China available for tutoring Math and English (elementary and junior high school) and Chinese (all levels). I have degrees in Math and English. I have experience as a private tutor and with groups of children in after school programs. In my spare time, I like to study on materials relevant to my student's study topic to remain up to date with school curriculum. My skills include explaining topics clearly and concisely and have keen awareness of my students' strengths and weaknesses. In addition, I have prior experience preparing students for SHSAT and regent exams and have more than 12 years of experience tutoring students. Additionally, I am available to pick-up students after school or stay with them after lesson if necessary.
