I'd describe my personality as kind, compassionate, and caring. I enjoy caring for people with special needs because I my kids (both grown) have special needs. I also enjoy working with aging populations and providing support to the families and loved ones of each group. I'm looking for meaningful and fulfilling work that will allow me to use my recently earned graduate degree in social work to support neurodiverse individuals, aging individuals, their families, and loved ones. I began caring for people with special needs when my younger son was diagnosed with ADHD and ASD about 12 years ago. I am 61 years of age and have also spent time caring for my father. My social skills include engagement, active listening, and empathy. My focus is systems-oriented, strengths-based, and client centered. Other skills include basic cooking, housekeeping/cleaning, and doing laundry. I am open to learning other necessary skills. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
