Hello, my name is Amy. When my son was young, we were told by the school that he had educational autism. They couldn't medically diagnose so we were sent through doctors for evaluations. At that time there wasn't as much known about Asperger's. One who hadn't even read his file until he came in the room to meet us for the first time, told me my child would never be able to drive or live on his own. Another told me there was nothing wrong with him after only asking him his name. I quit my job and took time to research on my own and through many trials, errors and adaptations found what things worked to help my son. He is now 21 and in his 3rd year of college, living in a dorm. Depending on what your situation is, I'd be happy to discuss if I can be of help. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
