Areas of Knowledge:Special Education, Parent, Child, & Special Needs, Extracurricular Activities, Swim Instruction. Education: Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certifications & Baby-sitting Certifications, Special Education Physical Education & Curriculum, Health Education for Family and Life. Over 200 hours of group & individual swim instruction, active in community service (weekly/before school; serving at homeless shelter), nanny for three families. Although 20 years young, above working experience and community service opportunities have helped me to mature and shape personal qualities required to be successful as an adult. Relevant to my long-term goal to teach special needs children, I was privileged to instruct children with emotional and physical issues. I then realized that working with developmentally challenged children was what I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. I am working towards a degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and will hopefully earn my degree in Speech Pathology. I am a caring, sweet, and loving young woman whom has a special love for all children. I recently started my sophomore year at the UNM and I found it challenging to maintain my many jobs.
