About Amy
Experience: 20 yrs
I have over 15 year of experience working with and teaching children. I graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2009. After graduating I became a certified teacher in 2010 and taught High School Spanish at Berwick Academy shortly thereafter for one school year. I attended the Middlebury Language School in 2010 and 2011 while teaching, and in 2011 I began a Master's Degree program in Spanish at UNH and graduated in 2012. I then began teaching Spanish in Boxford Public Schools to elementary school students. I very much enjoy fostering learning and growth in children in a fun and enriching way. I am also very dedicated to health and wellness. In 2014 I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, and also completed a Childlight Yoga training program in order to teach the joy and benefits of yoga to children. I also became certified as a Reiki Master in 2018. I enjoy exploring nature and creative projects that foster learning and spark joy.

It took me a year and an half on care.com (and other places) to find someone I trusted with my children. I’m picky about the adults I leave my kids with, and Amy has been the very best choice from the beginning. She has been a fantastic caregiver to my kids. She is compassionate, patient, and kind while approaching childcare with age appropriate activities (emphasis on outside activities)! She nannied for us for two years and spent most of that time with my son, who was 1.5- 3.5 years old during that time. Amy was always on time and very often available to stay a little late or come a little early. She was always so willing to help us out however we needed. Through our time together, I can say with confidence that she became a good friend to each of us and we look forward to having her in our lives from here on out! I can’t say enough good things about Amy- she’s truly a gem of a human and as a new mom, I felt so comfortable trusting her with my babies.
