Prior to becoming a nurse I worked 4 years as a CNA, both in nursing home environments and hospitals, as well as a stand alone hospice unit. Since becoming a nurse I have worked in hospitals, home health, case management, nursing homes and hospice. I have a passion for the geriatric population as well as hospice nursing. I enjoy doing any tasks needed to help ensure someone is safe and well-cared for in their home environment. I enjoy sitting and providing conversation with the elderly as well as assisting them with activities for enjoyment. As a seasoned nurse you will find me to be compassionate, organized, dependable and dedicated to the care I am provided. Even though I am a nurse, the simple task of helping someone to the bathroom, get dressed or even brush their teeth is not something I view as beneath my pay grade. I am happy to help with aspects of someone's daily life.
