About Amy

Hi fellow pet parents! My name is Amy, I am 29 years old, and I have owned several different kinds of pets from horses, cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, birds, fish and turtles. I've been taking care of animals as long as I can remember. I was born on a 5 acre ranch and each morning after breakfast me and my 2 brothers would go outside, feed the animals, call the horses out from the field and brush them, and collect the eggs from the chickens. Our family dog, Ginger, had her own litter of puppies when I was 8 years old. We cared for her throughout her pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. It was an experience I will never forget. I then raised my own dog, Duffy, from Ginger's litter from infancy until age 12, when cancer took her still too soon. During that time, and since, I have owned pets with about every temperament, age and lifestyle you could imagine. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of pet parenting.
