About Amy

Amy is an absolute gem! My child spent many happy years learning from Amy in weekly sessions, and is now adept at a huge gamut of sewing skills as well as other crafts such as needle felting, designing patterns for fabric, etc. More importantly, Amy is a teacher who helped my child understand her capacity for creative thinking and gave her space to problem solve – all while having tons of fun. Learning with Amy was an antidote to the pressures of Bay Area life (the academic intensity, career focus, etc.) that allowed my child to relax and take chances. A big plus is that Amy is delightful. She built an excellent rapport with my child in an atmosphere of nonjudgmental safety. If you have kids who need extra creative outlets or who want an opportunity to explore fun and useful crafts or who would benefit from hands-on exploring and developing confidence, I give Amy my most heartfelt and highest recommendation to you.
