About Amy

I'd describe my personality as kind, observant, calm, and whimsical. I like working with kids because I love to see them learn and grow and they remind me of what is important in life. I need a job that can work around my college schedule that I can bring my 13-year-old daughter with me to. I would like to work with a family that believes in gentle parenting and learning through play. I still wear a mask when I am indoors in public places and will likely wear a mask while in your home if anyone in either of our households has been sick. I have worked with kids for most of my life in different ways. I have worked with every age from newborns to teens. I have experience with children with autism. I recently completed a course in child development and I currently work as an assistant preschool teacher (mornings) at Into the Woods Preschool. As a mom I have done it all so I can take care of every need from cooking and feeding to diapers and toilet training to bedtime routines.
