I had cats for about 10 years and I really enjoyed their company. I've also had two dogs that were both rescues. One of the dogs was 15 years old Lhasa apso and I fed her by hand, so I am able to do that if necessary. The other was a shih tzu mix. I am familiar with giving dogs medicine as well. As far as dog breeds I'd rather not be around pit bulls or German shepherds. A mellow personality would suit me best. Please let me know if you have any questions!
