I love working with children and I recently did a career change to do what I love! I have 20 plus years experience as a babysitter and 7 years paid experience as a child care provider. I graduated in May 2017 with my associates degree in Early Childhood Education and in the summer of 2019 I earned a bachelors in ECE from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. I love working with all ages and enjoy the different stages of a child's development. I am passionate about letting children grow and develop their skills through play based learning. I love to use the outdoors as a chance to expose children to the wonderful things nature has to offer, especially in the Northwoods! Everyday is a new adventure and I am always learning new ideas and gaining new insights. I currently work at Head Start as the 4K teacher in the classroom.

We were blessed to have Amy as our nanny for about 19 months. It was on this website that we found her. And I will start by saying that I liked her so much when we met that I hired her much sooner than I anticipated hiring a nanny because I didn't want her to get snagged up by someone else! (The short story behind that was that I was about to go on maternity leave so didn't really need anyone until my 12 week leave was over but I had her start right away anyway!). Amy started when my son was just 2 weeks old. He is now 19 months old and I also have a daughter who is 3.5 years old. Amy was an awesome nanny whom our family loved. She was always very professional while still consistently maintaining a loving and caring environment for my kids. Amy was my right-hand for most of the time she was with us! My husband was overseas and I had to rely on her very heavily since I work full time. She was, without exception, very dependable, punctual, flexible, and had a positive attitude. My kids adore her - and I know because my daughter is quite a talker and she would tell me how much fun she had with Amy that day or tell me that she missed Amy over a weekend or vacation. While providing a fun, loving environment for my kids, she was still very good at drawing boundaries when they were needed. Amy comes very highly recommended!
