I have a child of my own with special needs who is now 13 years old. I have been through a lot with her and other family members and friends as far as special care. Some of the things I've dealt with are seizures, autism, add, adhd, odd, mental retardation, cancer, learning disabilities, and a few others. I do not have any certain training for special needs, only experience. I believe they are to be treated like any other child, just with some extra help. Every child is special in their own way and they are each a blessing. I believe special needs keep things interesting and on your toes.
