About Amna

I started tutoring when I was 15 years old! I've worked at multiple tutoring centers such as Kumon and Mathnasium, and have learned through experience the most effective ways to tailor learning plans specific to a students needs and confidence level One thing you should know about me is I am currently getting my masters in clinical mental health counseling and have my bachelor of science in Psychology and Statistics. I have experience working with a wide array of disorders including learning disabilities, and am also a part time assistant director at a tutoring center where I create learning plans and assess students. My skills include improving a students cognitive processing so they build skills during math tutoring that can be applied to other subject areas. I emphasize conceptual learning as opposed to memorization. I also help student develop study skills and work with their specific needs.
