Hi, I'd describe my personality as very compassionate, respectful, and patient. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy helping them live a happy and dignified life. I'm looking for a job that has a safe/supportive work environment, mutual respect and understanding, open/effective communication, teamwork that fosters collaboration, reasonable hours, and decent pay. I started caring for seniors as a teenager alongside my parents, but my first paid job was in January 2016. In my spare time, I like to stay physically active, cook, indulge in selfcare, the arts, and listen to podcasts. One thing you should know about me is I am very reliable, have empathy for the vulnerable, have patience, have strong communication skills, responsible, resourceful, and like to help others. Amie is an outstanding caregiver and I am honored to recommend her. I have known Amie for over 10 years. We met when she volunteered as our in-home caregiver, and has filled in as backup throughout the years. It is a pleasure working with Amie. She skillfully keeps up with everything that is asked of her, and accomplished this while maintaining a positive attitude and treating everyone with respect. Her professionalism is impeccable. She is well-organized and self-motivated. She impressed me as being a team player and is well-liked and respected by everyone. Amie’s responsibilities included personal care, bathing, dressing, toiletries, range-of-motion general exercises, meals, transferring to and from wheelchair, and light housekeeping. When it comes to attendance she was reliable and punctual. She is also good at multitasking and recognizing priorities. When required, Amie will naturally take the initiative completing routine duties and performing additional tasks as they arise. Additionally she in skilled at conflict resolution and understands the needs of people experiencing emotional and mental distress.
