I am a music teacher leaving the classroom after 20 yrs. Seeking a PT-FT position as a senior companion/concierge near Butler-Tarkington. With a deep sense of appreciation of those older and wiser than myself, I understand how lonely a senior can be in their golden years. I am not a nurse but I can assist with organizing medication, daily check-ins, meals, gardening, basic housework, organizing/decluttering, transportation, shopping and companionship (i. e. reading, games, music, exercise, etc.) My grandmother lived to be 96 years old in her own home because of a neighbor who checked on her 2x/day. She helped however but it gave my grandmother the confidence to stay in her own home until she died. I believe there are a lot of elderly out there who want to stay in their own homes they are just lonely, overwhelmed with daily tasks, or need rides to the doctor or grocery. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy senior companion, please let me know. I'm eager to try something new!

Amelia (Amy) has helped me care for my mom when I am not available. She is able to socialize easily with my mom along with giving me the peace of mind that my mom is safe and cared for if she is experiencing vertigo.
