About Amelia

Hello! I completed my undergraduate degree at Barnard College of Columbia University in May 2018 and am currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science & Analytics at Georgetown University. Throughout my undergraduate years and thereafter, I was actively involved in the Barnard Babysitting program, where I connected with two wonderful families for whom I provided childcare. For one family, I cared for a 10-year-old boy, taking on responsibilities such as picking him up from school, engaging him in outdoor activities at the park, preparing his dinner, overseeing his homework, and enjoying board games together. The other family had two daughters, aged 4 and 9. My duties with them included preparing their meals, assisting with homework, ensuring their nightly routines were followed, including brushing their teeth and getting to bed on time, reading bedtime stories upon request, and looking after the family dog.
