I strive to create an environment for children that fuels their creativity, curiosity, and explorative nature. I greatly admire the Montessori philosophy. I will follow any routines/schedules in place but I do my best to encourage children's natural interests and let them lead how our days will play out. I like spending time outside with the children as often as possible. My go-to activities include going on walks in the woods, arts & crafts, and reading them books. For the last year and a half I've been a Park Ranger for AACO. Before that I was teaching environmental literacy and outdoor education for AACPS. I have held many nannying positions over the past 10 years. I have experience with part time, full time, temporary & long term positions. My favorite age range to work with is 2-6 years old.

Amber was our full time nanny for a year and since then she has become part of our family. She still regularly babysits my 5 and 8 year old children for the last 3 years. When I tell my kids it’s an “Amber day” or we have a date night they are always super excited! They love spending time with her, doing science experiments, crafts, or going to explore nature. Her background as a park ranger makes that even more exciting. I’m very grateful for all the love and care she’s given the kids and our family! She is super reliable, takes initiative but also follows the kids lead when they want to explore something new and ensures their safety. We all love her and never want to miss her again!
