I was a private pay provider. I cared for a woman with dementia, her husband who was blind, and there son who had trouble caring for himself. I loved caring for that woman. She was so sweet. When someone has dementia they need care like a child does almost and she just stole my heart. When I started she made me the lead caregiver. The couple had not been showered in 6 months and I was not having it. The woman saw that I truly cared for the family and favored me. I will never forget her. She is my motivation to one day work with hospice.
