About Amber

Hi! I absolutely love working with kids, and I've spent the last nine years doing just that - from tiny babies to elementary schoolers. I started out as a surf instructor in Huntington Beach, teaching kids ages 5-14 how to safely enjoy the ocean. That experience showed me how much I enjoy helping children learn and grow, which led me to Brightstar Learning Center. There, I worked closely with infants and toddlers in small groups (a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio), becoming an expert in all things baby care, from feeding to diapering to safety protocols. I have my Psychology degree from UCSB and I'm working toward my Master's in Elementary Education because I want to keep growing as an educator. I spent a year being a full-time nanny for a 1-year-old, which was such a rewarding experience. Working with children is what I was meant to do - I love creating fun learning experiences while making sure everyone stays safe and happy!

Amber is AMAZING. Simply put. She was with us for a year with our one-year-old daughter before she started preschool and she exceeded all of our expectations as a nanny. Amber is so bubbly and fun and my daughter absolutely adored her and still adores her to this day. We still get frequent visits from her because she’s just that incredible!! She was always very punctual and respectful to us and our children. She followed all of the things we asked of her and kept our daughter right on schedule every day. Any concerns we ever had; she would immediately put our minds at ease. It was our first experience with someone else taking care our baby and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person for the job! She really became like family and anyone would be so lucky to have her!!!
