I taught special education for five years, where I was awarded "Teacher of the Year" and the highest level of effectiveness of a 5. I hold both a masters and bachelors in education from the University of Tennessee in Special Education and Exceptional Education, respectively. I have a PhD as well as a masters degree from the University of Minnesota. I have taught K through 5th grade students who have disabilities including autism, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and speech and language impairments. I have also acted as a clinical supervisor at a center for children with autism, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Teaching is my passion, and I would love to have the opportunity to learn and grow with your child!
