About Amber

After over 25 years as a high school English and journalism teacher in Western North Carolina, I went back to school to become a licensed massage therapist. Afterward, I worked at a spa for a couple of years, but I have been working at home lately in my private massage practice. In addition to being a teacher and massage therapist, I had considerable experience taking care of my grandmother before she died of Alzheimer's. I also shop, run errands, and do light housework for my uncle, who is unable to do these things for himself. I have always had a tender spot for the elderly and like to add to their quality of life when possible. Many of my friends and primary influences were elders in the church I attended until I went to college. I would like part-time employment doing something meaningful to assist others.
