My grandmother suffered from decline of dementia for the last 6 years but the last two years have been rapid. She went from working, driving, cooking, and attending church to having her license taken away and becoming declared mentally unable to make sound decisions on her own. My grandmother passed away last Sunday from dementia and I have been in Dallas taking care of her to keep her out of a senior living home. She was on complete bed rest for the last 7 months. We did have hospice care three days a week but the remainder of the time it was my mother and I taking care of her and administering her pills, preparing the food that she could eat and bathing her. My whole life has been caring for a home, my grandmother, husband and my three kids so that's what I know. She beat her fight against dementia. It can be a very trying and time for those that are just starting to go through it. I would love to help u through with what's to come. Keep in mind, u cannot do everything on ur own.
