About Amber

I've worked in early childhood education as a teacher and administrator for almost 20 years. I've taught preschool, developed an afterschool program for kindergarten-fifth grade, been a nanny for newborn twins, have been babysitting (infant-young teen) since I was a teen myself, and also grew up the oldest of 7 kids! I love the wonder and curiosity that children view the world with, and try to help create the joy and magic of childhood that I feel every child deserves to experience through creativity with arts/crafts, imaginative play, and storytelling/reading stories. My work with children and in schools has required me to be organized, has taught me to be extremely flexible while also providing necessary routines and structure, and I'm also able to find the humor in many of the (sometimes chaotic!) situations you find yourself in with children. I'd love to find a family (or two) looking for help in providing happy, safe, fun opportunities for their children to continue to grow!
