About Amber

Hi, I'm Amber. I am a single mom to a 10-year-old girl, and I know firsthand how hard it is to find safe and reliable child care. My experience caring for children began years ago when I was a teen, babysitting for neighbors, friends, and family. When I began high school I worked in a preschool classroom throughout those years to earn credits and the required volunteer hours so I could jump right into my major program when I started college. I attended Oakland University studying elementary education and early childhood education. Throughout my time in college I was babysitting, tutoring, working in summer camps and after school programs. I eventually began substitute teaching and I spent about 8 years teaching in elementary schools, when I had my daughter and decided to shift my career to one that I could do from home. I work full time from home now, but I greatly miss working with children, and I know there are many families struggling to find care and that's a void I can help fill.
