About Amber

I have previous experience working in group homes with older adults with developmental disabilities and dementia. I have experience with Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, gait belts, lift chairs ect. I have run an in home program for an individual with a traumatic brain injury and have changed a g-tube, performed tube feedings, colostomy bag changes, wound care, medication administration, supply ordering, changing of briefs and Texas catheter and urine collection bags. For dementia care, I have been apart of a few hospice situations and helped with end of life care for individuals and spouses. I have been involved with advanced dementia care which required a gentle touch in regard to how situations were handled. I have been a case manager for a couple of years for elder services to set up in home care, completed dementia coaching for family and caregivers and help set up with resources. I have advanced to supervisor positions but am looking to reconnect to working with my roots.
