About Amber

Hello! I am 30 years old. I moved to the Chicago area about two years ago and I currently work as a Cosmetology Educator in Lincoln Park. I love teaching, but I am ready to focus more on my future and work towards my goals. I am a hair stylist, so my artsy fartsy creative side tends to show up in everything I do! I'm originally from Michigan and I grew up on a farm so I love to be outside, even in the winter. I adore pets! I did attend some college with my major being Early Childhood Development, and plan is to go back and finish my degree. I love to read, paint, draw, dance, and laugh. I was a nanny for 7 years to a family with 4 children. I've worked in 2 day care centers (teaching preschool at one), as well as running the area at a store where parents allow their children to stay and play while they shop. Growing up, I worked as a Lifeguard and I was Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified and trained. I also have experience teaching children to swim. I currently just became a Red Cross Volunteer because I love giving back to society in any way. I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews whom I love and adore dearly. I love working with children, and I miss having the opportunity to do so. I'm looking for a family that I could be a right fit for and vice versa. I would like something that would be long-term.
