About Amber

I'd describe myself as patient, kind, and passionate. I enjoy tutoring because I think every child is capable of learning and growing. I have a passion for working with children and bringing excitement to learning. I enjoy watching children's enthusiasm blossom as they learn new things. At 16, I received my online certification to be preschool teacher. After graduating high school, I attended UD for early childhood education with a minor in disability studies. I am now a certified teacher, from birth to second grade, in the states of Delaware and Maryland. In my spare time, I like to read and cook. I enjoy reading books about early childhood and literacy. My skills include being certified in special education, being a certified early childhood teacher, and working with the multiple Delaware curriculums. I have experience working with IEP's and helping students with a wide range of academic levels and capabilities. I am also CPR certified and first aid trained.
