About Amaya

Hello, I'm Amaya. I'm a freshman at UC Berkeley, studying to get my degree in Film. I graduated high school with Academic Distinction, the Art Department Award, Viking Spirit Award, and AP Scholar with Honor. I'm highly experienced in child care and have been babysitting since seventh grade. Since then, I've been hired by around 15 families. I volunteered at my little brother's elementary school and hosted kids camps during school breaks. My favorite things to do with kids are dancing, singing, doing art projects, and teaching kids to make desserts from scratch! Throughout quarantine, I tutored my brother and his friends with their homework. My little brother has dysgraphia and dyslexia, so I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher and am very experienced with figuring out how to explain topics to kids that they just can't seem to wrap their heads around.
