About Amara

Hi! I'm Amara and I believe children learn best through play and observation. I love turning boring tasks into games to make things fun. I'm here to help children learn, become more independent, and teach them about their own emotions and communication. I'm also here to help you out. I've worked at a daycare for over a year now starting off as a teachers aid. I went to Greater New Bedford Voc. taking up childcare all 4 years becoming certified in early learning teaching. i've worked mainly with infants and 2-4-year-old at my job but due to a large family I've worked closely with every age. I'm looking for a job that is long lasting and comfortable. A family that is communicative and willing to work with someone who is still young. I started working with kids when I was 11. I took a babysitting class at the hospital. I became certified in CPR/AED and started getting paid to babysit for my family and my mom's friends and knew from there I wanted to build my career in childcare.
